Hawaii, Day 1

There’s no photo for Thursday; sorry! Thursday was a travel day. We flew from Seattle to Honolulu and arrived around 8 p.m. We had been planning on couchsurfing all five nights we’re here in Hawaii, but our first host is located on the North Shore of O’ahu, near the northwestern tip of the island. Buses that go all the way up there are few and far between, especially after dark. We thought we might be able to make it, but as it turned out, we missed the last bus of the night and were stuck in Honolulu. Luckily, we used the Kindle to get online and search for nearby hostels. So we ended up staying one night in Waikiki and coming up here to the North Shore during the day (which was a much easier task.)
